The Challenge
The water distribution network faced multiple operational challenges, including fluctuating urban and seasonal water demand, aging infrastructure with leakage issues, high levels of Non-Revenue Water (NRW), and limited real-time visibility into network performance. Additionally, integrating field devices, SCADA systems, analytics platforms, and future expansion requirements demanded a scalable and intelligent approach to water management.
Our Solution
Alada Solutions implemented a comprehensive smart water engineering framework combining advanced hydraulic modeling, Digital Twin technology, IoT-enabled monitoring, SCADA integration, GIS-based asset management, and AI-driven analytics. The solution included pressure and flow optimization, real-time leak detection, predictive maintenance capabilities, demand forecasting, smart sensor deployment, and cloud-based operational dashboards to create a data-driven and self-optimizing water distribution network.
The Results
The project successfully transformed a conventional water network into an intelligent and resilient water management system. Significant reductions in Non-Revenue Water (NRW) were achieved, pressure stability and distribution efficiency improved, and operators gained real-time visibility across the network. Predictive maintenance capabilities reduced operational costs, enhanced service reliability, and improved resilience against demand fluctuations, while creating a scalable foundation for future urban growth and sustainability initiatives.
